  1. In order to solve the strike situation with our valuable junior doctors... Perhaps they should be given unlimited expense accounts like politicians... After all, junior doctors do a far more important job...
  2. It most certainly is... Apparently to be a deterant to so called 'illegals'. A deal has been signed by both governments... Money is changing hands... Expect the people to be exploited, then their cheap labour to be supplying 'high end' shops with goods to undercut the British made stuff... Is anyone actually visiting Rwanda for leisure? Is anyone going directly there? By supplying cheap labour, the British will effectively be people-trafficking. In short.... We are as bad as the people providing the boats to cross the English channel, except that we will instead be using planes... It doesn't look very good, Does it?
  3. A politician or other highly salaried person can get their expenses paid, for just about anything. Do they actually need a wage? Politicians' Covid parties at No10 were 'meetings' to get the booze, food and silly hats on expenses, all this while the country was in lockdown, and Queen Elizabeth was sitting alone, in Westminster Abbey, at the funeral of Prince Phillip. How do they live with themselves? But, that aside. There are people on high salaries who can claim everything back as a tax relief, or expense account. A junior doctor not only gets less than an MP's expense account, for working longer hours on a ward say, but they will still have to pay for the carpark at the hospital. The super-rich take public transport, all on expenses. That is hardly fair. Who holds more value as a person, An MP, or junior doctor in A&E? The doctor, right? Absolutely. Cos they preserve life. People on expense accounts have no idea how much anything costs to buy or rent. They just don't know. So how can they possibly understand the cost of living for ordinary people? It isn't only a pathetic excuse for the super rich, it is actually a powerful reason too. Ordinary people will know the cost of a loaf of bread... A so-called 'business meeting' might be £100+ per person for just the meal. How do they justify that, when a family of four, two children at school, two adults at work pay the bills? Kids go hungry... The highr paid people, regardless of talent or ability, don't actually know the real value of anything, cos they don't have to pay for anything. They don't even look at price tags...
  4. It's true, Take a business idea into a jobcentre in the UK, and they send you off for a job interview or your benefits will be stopped. Is that encouraging enterprise in our schools? It isn't, Is it? I had a brilliant business idea of my own some years ago... A name to register at Companies house, an exhibition set up locally, brilliant. I could have made my own living. Guess what? The jobcentre/work coach said I had to go to an ordinary job interview, or lose my unemployment money... Thus my home... So it's gone... Forever... Someone else will own that trademark now... Someone who got funding to set up... But not me, I'm an ordinary but qualified British citizen so, that's another industry given away... That's why we have very little industry in the UK! We teach our kids to believe in themselves at school, that they can achieve anything in life. But without the appropriate support... They are basically being fed a lie... Well they are, Aren't they?

  6. At least they can win matches!!! They play for the love of the game, the blokes play for sports cars! The girls don't lose on penalties, are much better tempered, They came closer to winning the world cup in just a few seasons, than the men have in nearly forty years!
  7. It's true. The British government want to stop people smoking, supposedly in relation to improving public health. To finance their own and friends' expense accounts, they will need to tax something else that many people depend on. Like bottled water, Bread, even milk for our breakfasts. Electric cars may eventually replace the internal combustion engine, so petrol and diesel consumption will dramatically decrease. They will have to raise the money from somewhere, in the form of taxes... What do you think?
  8. I certainly hope so... Without some sort of faith there is nothing to live for... Everything here on earth can be linked to the pursuit of material wealth. Rich people actually 'pay' their 'friends'!
  9. It should not be enforced, likewise political or other doctrine. There are people in high places milking the ordinary people in society. Wealth in itself isn't gonna make people happy, but it doesn't stop them trying!
  10. At the moment, Britain is more interested in 'Strictly, Blackpool' and the soap opera's on TV But... Isn't Rwanda a penal colony? Someone is getting backhanders... It doesn't look very good, Does it?
